ZM at its current incarnation does not understand mpeg2. Please login or register. Ok then in kaffiene i dont get a choice for tv. You are right and the box was labled pvr had some extra goodies but said that it contained a pvr card. Attached scsi generic sg0 type 0 [ And i can’t intsrnext to get a stream from the card. Any help gratefully received. I am using kernel 2. The card is not seen by either v4l2-ctl or QTV4L2 test utility. What does lspci show?

ivtv – firmware – v4l-cx2341x*.fw – Upstream & Fedora

Note the incc hm12 above — it is important. One uses bttv driver, and the other uses ivtv driver. Oh by the way I tried KdeTv after running what you said and I was able to get the channels scanned in but it is all fuzz and no picture and no sound.


Fortunatelly there’s “raw” output on ivtv cards. Registered device video1 for encoder MPG kB [ Registered device vbi1 for encoder VBI kB [ Decoded card 0 ivtv0: The YUVfunnyformat should not be a problem if it is clearly defined somewhere. Tuner -1 found with type s Radio TV.

This is what I decoddr from lsmod grep ivtv: So the task is to grab mplayer code, see how it goes about ivtv raw mode and port that to zone minder.
